A student must meet Missouri S&T’s regular undergraduate admission requirements.

Certificate Requirements

To receive the certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, a student must do the following:

  • Complete 12 credit hours selected from among the following courses:
    • ENGL 1211 British Literature I
    • ENGL 3210 Survey of Old and Middle English Literature
    • ENGL 3211 Chaucer
    • ENGL 3212 Sixteenth-Century English Literature
    • ENGL 3213 Seventeenth-Century English Literature

    • HIST 3130 Medieval History I
    • HIST 3135 Medieval History II
    • HIST 3240 Renaissance Thought

  • Students must apply for the certificate by notifying the Russian and Eurasian Studies faculty advisor at least one full semester before graduation. 
  • Request a certificate from the Registrar's Office within two calendar years of completing the required certificate coursework. 

All students are encouraged to develop their Russian language skills to the highest possible level.
